NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Wadena County Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at approximately 9:15 a.m. to consider tax abatement requests from Robert L. Weiher, Verndale Contractors Supply, Inc. dba Verndale Custom Builders pursuant to Minnesota Statute 469.1813 and Minnesota Statutes 116J.993 through 116J.995. The request is to abate part of the County portion of real estate taxes, which has been projected to be approximately $15,000.00 over a five year period, on the subject property which is located at 302 Mason Avenue East, Verndale, MN 56481.
In essence, all of the property owners within the political subdivision, including the owner of the property receiving an abatement, are paying for the abatement. The political subdivision does not lose any money on account of these abatements.
The public hearing will be held at the regular Board of Commissioners’ meeting in the Commissioners’ Room of the Wadena County Courthouse, 415 Jefferson Street South, Wadena, MN 56482.
